Reading the new White Dwarf

Just received the new White Dwarf through the post and have given a read. We are now six months into the new style magazine but how does it measure up? Has it improved since last month and does it excite me for the release of yet another 40k Codex? Let's find out!

Cash from the Skies..

So death from the skies is already sold out and due for a 2nd print run. How small was that first run? or has it really sold that well?

By all accounts the stormtalon entry is an edit on the original with a lower points cost, making it so anyone using one kinda needs this book. Cynical indeed.

Although the IBooks edition of marines has got all the updates apparently.

So are folks thinking of picking a copy up when it restocks in a few weeks?

in other news, ive already started cracking on with my mountain of resin.

Attending E.L.F's Crusade Campaign Weekend!

So we've just finished off E.L.F's annual gaming weekend and this year it a pre-Heresy Doubles event! 

Rich was actually losing at this point, that's how much he enjoyed the event!

Making preparations for next weekend.

Well I've finally undercoated my first megarachnid, with less than a week to go! But enough about my hobby failures I've finally managed to produce the draw for the rounds for next weekend. It's been trickier than I had expected to ensure everyone played with/against each other and everyone used each army the correct number of times (one of my many excuses for not getting painting done).

Played a couple of games of infinity last night, made me realise i really need to read the rulebook. But it was good fun nevertheless. And the new infinity terrain boards theyve got at TTN are pretty freakin sweet. as these pics will show!!

Gaming when i should be painting...

Headed over to Toms Saturday for some games, squeezed in a 1500 point battle of my Emperors Children Blood Angels vs Toms Iron Warrior Chaos Marines.

Ive still gotta finish 3 assault marines, build and paint 5 more. Finish the eldar and assemble my terrain piece.
